EPUB to LaTeX, and a print book from your ebook

If your book exists only as an EPUB, PageBender reads it back into a structured book and gives you LaTeX source, a print-ready PDF set by TeX, and Word and InDesign files.

Reading the ebook as a book

The EPUB's own contents list becomes the book's structure, so each chapter, part and section keeps its level. Block quotes and epigraphs are recognised, false headings left by InDesign exports are removed, and the language tags the publisher set on purpose are kept while stray ones are dropped.

Every word is checked against the source after import. If a word does not come through, PageBender reports it and says where it was.

What you get

  • LaTeX source for the whole book, ready for a TeX user to work on.
  • A print PDF at your trim size, with the page make-up done by TeX.
  • Word and InDesign files with the book's styles, for an editor or a typesetter.
  • A cleaned EPUB and a Kindle copy, rebuilt from the same text.

Edit before you print

An ebook headed for print usually needs a proofread. Clean-up rules and an optional AI copy-edit propose changes as cards. Accept the ones you want and every output picks them up.
